Article – The Great High-Fashion Family Film Experiment
Talk about disparate worlds colliding! I was fascinated by this piece about the Rodarte team, sisters Laura and Kate Mulleavy, who were invited to design the costumes for the new animated film Sing 2. I appreciate their commitment and attention to detail, not uncommon in animation (see the documentary The Pixar Story).
Blog Post – Nine Lessons from Joni Mitchell
What a nice list. I think ‘be open to encounter’ and ‘be grateful for your troubles’ are the most universal lessons to be taken from Joni’s life story (related – sadly, she was left out of the film Echo in the Canyon which I was really into earlier this year after traveling to L.A. and wrote about here).
