Article – Balanchine, the Teacher: ‘I Pushed Everybody’
I can’t wait to see the documentary In Balanchine’s Classroom. My fascination with him and his style of ballet started last year when I watched Disney’s On Pointe series last year. The series reminded me of how dance teachers have such a specific personality type. I miss it. They are so direct and energetic. I am also intrigued by this notion that dance fails to persevere through generations compared to other art forms. It was also explored in the Twyla Tharp PBS documentary.

This was a calming and pleasant video to watch. I’m trying to resume my hobby of knitting and this was a small dose of inspiration.
