The weekly roundup is my offering of inspiring things I found online in the past week. May they bring you some pearl of wisdom, joy, or humor.
Podcast – 5 Steps and 27 Tools for a Super Energizing Mid-Year Creative Reboot
This episode of Creative Pep Talk from June was so inspriring to me. Maybe if I would have gone and read some of the recommended books I could have made that momentum last longer, haha… One of the highlights of this podcast was hearing about SMARTER goals. They are the same as SMART goals plus excitement and risk. I’ve never been sold on the idea of SMART goals but Andy’s explanation of them plus those extra two elements have made me reconsider.
Video – I Opened a Bookstore in a Pandemic
I find it really cool to see a very successful author, Ryan Holliday, follow a dream that seems crazy: opening an independent bookstore. I loved seeing what they sold on their first day.
Podcast – Our Mental “Surge Capacity” is Maxed Out
This item isn’t so much related to creativity directly, but here is some real talk. I’ve been feeling burned out at work and notice myself and my peers struggle to think creatively, make decisions, meet deadlines, etc. This podcast interview with Dr. Amy Cuddy made me feel better and feel alike.
How are you coping with the rise of the delta variant? I hope you find a way to persevere through this continued hardship.
Have a great weekend,
