The weekly roundup is my offering of inspiring things I found online in the past week. May they bring you some pearl of wisdom, joy, or humor.
Article – AOC Had a Catchy Logo. Now Progressives Everywhere Are Copying It.
“Political designers say her logo’s vibe has come to convey insurgency, youth, diversity, liberalism.” If you’re interested in political logo design trends, see also the Jonathan Hoefler episode of Abstract on Netflix.
Short Film – NYC Ballet Spring Gala
This film, directed by Sofia Coppola, includes the premiere of the new solo choreographed by Justin Peck. It was breathtaking and made so, I think, in part due to the cinematography. It would not have been the same if watched from a seat in a theater. I hope there is a future for digital ballet programming in the post-pandemic world.
Book Review – The Plot by Jean Hanff Korelitz
Reviewer Elisabeth Egan writes, “a love story, a mystery and a striver’s journey — three of the most satisfying flavors of fiction out there.” This novel sounds so good!
How did you fare this week, my friend?
Have a great weekend,
