The weekly roundup is my offering of inspiring things I found online in the past week. May they bring you some pearl of wisdom, joy, or humor.
Article – Short-Story Dispenser comes to Seattle
I think the short story dispenser is cosmopolitan. Almost futuristic. Maybe even rebellious? All I know is I need to check it out.
Blog Post – Searching Outside the Algorithm
It is funny that Austin wrote about this, because I have had the same thought as others: he must consume way more than the average person. His advice to get outside the algorithm is great, though. My tip would be don’t read the most popular book everyone is talking about, go find something in a Little Free Library or something old on your own shelf.
Podcast – Closing Time
I’m beginning to think I sound like a broken record with all the times I have brought up Song Exploder lately. It is good programming, though! This episode was one of my favorites in learning about the double meaning of the song’s lyrics. I admire the deep influence poetry has clearly had on writer Dan Wilson.
What have you made the week?
Have a great weekend,
